What you need
- A Discord server where you have the
Manage Serverpermission (typically the owner or an admin). - A TopV server profile already created — /setup-server if you don't have one yet.
- About 2 minutes of your time. The setup is a single trip through the wizard.
Add the bot to your Discord
Click the button below. Discord opens a permission prompt — accept it. The bot lands in your server with the minimum permissions it needs (read members and roles, send messages in the channel of your choice). Nothing more.

Link the bot to your TopV server
In any text channel, type:
/topv-link
TopV8 commandsDiscord will ask you for the slug of your TopV server profile — that's the part of the URL after topv.gg/servers/. For example, if your fiche is at topv.gg/servers/saga-rp, type saga-rp.

https://topv.gg/servers/saga-rp
Auto-sync every 6h. Run
/topv-sync for an immediate resync.Pick the staff and roliste roles
This is how the bot knows who's on your team and who's a roleplayer. Open your TopV dashboard:
Open dashboardGo to your server's edit page, scroll to the Discord roles section, and tick the roles you want.
- Staff roles — admins, mods and team members. They appear on your fiche with avatar + role badge, auto-updated.
- Roliste roles — every member with this role gets their own TopV profile (character, projects, trophies, reviews). They keep it for life, even if they leave your server.
Discord Roles
Pick the Discord roles that represent your staff team and your players (rolistes). Staff will appear on your public profile, and rolistes will automatically get a player profile on TopV.
Pick the notifications channel
Decide where the bot announces things: sync results, new trophies, new reviews on your fiche, Weekly Spotlight reminders. Run:
/topv-channel #your-channel
/topv-channelchannel:
Pro tip: pick a private staff-only channel — most messages are for you and your team, not for the whole community.
Activate the trophy system
This step is optional. If you want your community to be able to reward great RP moments:
/topv-trophy-setup
The bot asks you which channels are eligible for /eval and which roles can use it (typically your staff + senior rolistes). Anti-abuse is built in:
- Cooldown between two /eval from the same author.
- Daily cap per evaluator (no flood).
- Role-based gating — only configured roles can use /eval.
- Full audit log: every trophy point is traceable to the evaluator and channel.
Once active, anyone with the right role can type /eval @player in an eligible channel. The trophy point counts toward the player's TopV ranking.

Troubleshooting & FAQ
›/topv-link says 'Unauthorized'
Your Discord account is not the owner of the targeted TopV server profile. Either log into TopV with the right Discord account, or transfer ownership of the TopV profile first via /dashboard.
›Staff list isn't showing up on my fiche
Make sure you ticked at least one role as 'staff' in the dashboard, then run /topv-sync to force a refresh. If still empty, check that the bot can see those roles (Discord role list, position above the bot).
›Roliste profiles don't get created
Same logic — tag at least one role as 'roliste' in the dashboard and run /topv-sync. Members need to have at least one of those roles. Profiles are created within seconds.
›/eval says the channel isn't eligible
Run /topv-trophy-setup again and add the current channel to the eligible list. Trophy points only count from channels you have explicitly approved.
›Can I uninstall the bot later?
Yes, any time. Run /topv-unlink to detach the link first (so your fiche knows the guild is no longer connected), then kick the bot from your Discord. No data of yours is kept beyond the verification record.
›Does it cost anything?
No. The bot is and will stay free. There is no upsell tied to it. Premium TopV plans exist (visibility on rankings, Weekly Spotlight, etc.) but they are completely independent of the bot.
